Hindu wedding video

A Hindu wedding video can usually be broken down in to 3 parts:
- The Poojas on the morning of the wedding or the day before
- the Wedding
- The Reception

There are many different traditions in the Hindu wedding rituals depending on where the family comes from and so we at Ooh weddings can accommodate for these ceremonies and create a video which will suit the taste of the client and their families .

The first part of a Hindu wedding is a pooja to Lord Ganesh and then any poojas relevant to the family. The wedding videographer will make sure that the whole pooja is filmed and also any prashad and food also.

The Wedding

A Hindu wedding usually takes place under a canopy (Mandap). This is usually set up in a hall although it can take place in a mandir. The wedding videographer will make sure that he arrives in plenty of time to take shots of the Mandap and any other decorations.

The Bride’s side

Before getting to the venue the wedding video guy will arrive at the Bride’s house to film her having her make-up done and final touches to her outfit. These are creative shots and are done discreetly. The wedding videographer will then take any family shots that are required and then film the bride leaving to go to the venue.

The Groom’s side

This portion of the Hindu wedding video will see the groom getting dressed for the big day. The wedding videographer will artistically film the Groom and his brothers or best men. The wedding video guy will then take shots of the family and the Groom leaving for the venue.

At the Venue

Here the wedding videographer will film:
• The arrival if the baraat
• The Groom being greeted by the Bride’s mother and family
• Any ceremonies performed
• Groom entering the mandap.
• The arrival of the Bride
• The kanyadaan (giving away of the Bride)
• The Mangal pheras
• The sindoor and Mangalsutra
• The garlands
• Any other ceremonies relevant to the family
• Dinner
• Doli
After the Hindu Wedding if booked beforehand the wedding videographer will travel back to the Groom’s House to film the welcoming of the Bride at her Husbands house and film any games and ceremonies there.
